Hint: needs to be replaced every so often
Well hey there! Happy Friday! Hope you all had a good week! I don't know about you, but it will be a long weekend for me! It will be Family Day on Monday for some of us lucky Canadians. It's not a national holiday, as not all provinces observe this holiday. It's too bad, as I do think that it should  be a national holiday. Family values are important and we do need the extra day off. People are always so busy with work and concerned with making money that they sacrifice time with their loved ones. You know what they say about all work and no play!

Anyway, here's the hint for today's thingamajig:

it's common knowledge:
black ones are more popular
and less expensive!

What is it?

P.S I won't be updating my blog this weekend. I'm spending quality time with my family and you should, too! :)

Photo #355 Revealed

It was a computer thingamajig...
Since I'm not a computer geek and I'm so not familiar with the terminology, I will accept circuit board and computer chip as correct answers. They sound about right!

Hint: it may be smarter than you!
Hope your Valentine's was all that you had hoped for and more! I didn't get any candies or chocolates... but no worries! I'm going to the store today for some half price candies! Am I Asian or what?? LOL! Anyways, some of you may be wondering about the top scorers for Dec and January.  Keep wondering awhile longer. I am such a procrastinator that I haven't had a chance to tally up the scores. I will try to get those scores up as soon as possible. Until then, please be patient.

Anyways, here's the hint for today's thingamajig:

small, yet powerful
hidden, but not forgotten
it gets the job done!

What is it?

Photo #354 Revealed

It was a teddy bear.
And no, this wasn't given to me for Valentine's day...

Hint: some of you might have received one of these today!
Happy Valentine's day! Whether you celebrate this holiday or not, I wish you a day filled with love, happiness and all sorts of warm fuzzies! And it doesn't  matter if you are in a relationship or not. Today is worth celebrating. It's not just a holiday for couples. Spend time with your friends and family and show them how much you care. And don't forget to treat yourself to something nice, like cookies or chocolate! You deserve it!

Here's today's hint for today's thingamajig:

a wonderful gift
soft, cuddly and hug-able
and so loveable!

And since it's "Two-sday," this photo is worth 2 points!

XOXO,

Hint: a gift idea, perhaps?
Well, hello there! Hope you had a fun filled weekend! I had a pretty good weekend. I spent yesterday eating home-made chocolate chip cookies and making valentines! Speaking of valentines, tomorrow is the most romantic day of the year! Do you have any plans?  I might go see "The Vow," the movie with cutie pie Rachel McAdams. I don't care if it's going to be a cheesy movie. I love cheese! And I heard that Channing Tatum takes off more than his shirt!! ;)

Anyway, here's the hint for today's thingamajig:

just a bit of lace
adorned with a bow or two
makes it quite sexy!

What is it?

Photo #352 Revealed

It was a waffle.
This one has whipped cream, caramel sauce and blueberries! Can you say "yum!" ?

Hint: could be frozen
Happy Friday! Is it warm where you live? It's an awfully cold day here! But then again, we have been spoiled with warm weather lately and this is probably the norm for this time of year. I will dress warm and stop complaining about the weather. (It's a Canadian thing. We seem to be always talking about the weather...)

Anyways, here's today's thingamajig hint:

can be square or round
either way, it's quite the treat!
and good with bacon!

What is it?

Photo #351 Revealed

It was a dog.
Specifically, It's a King Charles Spaniel! Bonus points if you were that specific!! Isn't he cute? Can you say, "aww...?" And if you look closely, you can see a lipstick smudge near his mouth. He's very affectionate! No wonder he's popular with the ladies! ;)

If you are single guy and don't want to be, get a cute dog. It will help you  meet the ladies! ;)

hint: a Valentine's gift idea maybe?
Well, hello there! Hope you are having a good day so far, wherever you are! So Valentine's Day is fast approaching! Is this a holiday you like to celebrate? I admit, it's a highly commercialized holiday, but I still think it's the most romantic time of the year! I can't help it. I'm a girl and a bit of hopeless romantic. I get all sappy upon hearing a good love story, like Prince William and his princess Kate's! They seem very happy together! Isn't true love grand?

Anyways, here's the haiku hint for today's thingamajig:

I wouldn't call this
a "thingamajig," you know.
It has feelings, too!

What is it?

Much love,
Shutterbug

Hint: it can be quite heavy
Hey there! I'm still around. I didn't forget about my handful of loyal readers (you know who you are!). Hope you had a good weekend. Did any of you catch the Superbowl? I don't like watching football. It's kinda boring for me. It would be a lot more exciting for me if those football players played shirtless. Who wouldn't want to see more of Tom Brady's hot body? His wife may not be too happy, but who cares? ;)

Anyway, here's today's thingamajig hint:

it doesn't eat or sleep
in fact, it doesn't do much
just there for the show...

What is it?

Oh, and because it's "Two-sday," this photo is worth 2 points!!

Photo #349 Revealed

It was Brussels sprouts.
Although it is a type of cabbage, the answer I'm looking for was Brussels sprouts, given the hint. And did you know that Brussels is the capital of Belgium? Of course you did, my readers are smarty pants!

Hint: it got its name from a certain place
Well, hey there! Yay, it's the weekend! Hope you are doing well! I'm having a pretty good day. I finally received a cheque from Google AdSense. It's not much, but it's enough to buy me a new bag or pair of new shoes. With this spring like weather we have been having here, I feel like shopping! But shopping for clothes isn't easy for me. I have a difficult time finding clothes because I'm so small...Anyone else have this issue?

Anyways, here's today's hint:

I am popular
always surrounded by buds!
I'm quite likeable!

What am I?

Photo #348 Revealed

It was a saddle.
Giddy up! Have you ever been horseback riding?

Hint: it should be cleaned regularly.
Hey there! It's February 2nd! Happy Groundhog day! For those that don't know, Groundhog day is an American and Canadian holiday. People gather around a groundhog's burrow to see whether or not Spring will come early. If it's cloudy and the groundhog comes out of his burrow, spring will arrive early. If it's sunny and the groundhog sees his shadow, he will go back to his burrow and winter will last another 6 more weeks. I'm hoping that Spring will come early. I can't wait to start gardening again!

Here's today's hint:

a support system
for you and your companion
but it's optional.

Photo #347 Revealed

They were water chestnuts.
Water chestnuts are a type of Asian vegetable. The peel is usually removed. They can be eaten raw or cooked. They stay crunchy and crispy even when cooked because of the high water content. They are good in stir fries and salads.

Photo #346 Revealed

it was a Chinese knot.
Chinese knots symbolizes happiness, luck, unity and love. Valentine's Day is fast approaching and you could give your lover one of these knots, hinting that you want to "tie the knot" someday.
