There's nothing wrong with being adopted...

Speed Bump comic.

Hint: It likes water
Hello fellow bloggers! Is it Friday already? And it's the last day of the month! Where does the time disappear too? Today's thingamajig is usually some shade of brown. It starts off wet and ends up dried. It is a natural occurring substance. What is it?

And guess what? This is my 500th post! I guess it adds up, when I post at least 2 photos a day...

Photo #235 Revealed

Hint: you may keep this in your garage
Hello there! Hope you are having a good day so far. I'm feeling a bit congested today. This thingamajig can be made of metal or wood. This is not something most people use regularly, unless it was your job. What is it?

Hint: It will start to stink after awhile
Hello! Today's another nice sunshine-y day! It's a great day for people watching. It's one of my favourite past times! I should start taking more photos of people, especially of hot guys! Maybe I should start another blog. Today's thingamajig is a very common in households. Most people use this at least once a day. What is it?

Photo #233 Revealed

They were dried shrimp.
Dried shrimp are regular shrimp that have been sun dried. They are used to flavour soups and sauces. Supposedly, they have that "umami" taste. But I wouldn't know, I am allergic to seafood.

Bonus points if you said "dried shrimp."

Photo #232 Revealed

It was a binder clip.
You still get a point for guessing clip, but bonus points if you said "binder clip."

Hint: it used to be alive
Today's second thingamajig is quite small, especially now that it's no longer alive. This is common in Asian cuisine. It can be used to make soups and sauces. What do you think it is?

Photo of the day, #232

Hint: It's small enough to fit your pocket
Happy Two-sday! Hope today you will have double the fun and silliness! Life is too short to be serious. The first thingamajig is small and humble! You can find these at home, work or school. They come in different colours and usually made of metal. What is it?

Happy Monday! I had a pretty good weekend and hope you did too! Today's thingamajig can be found indoors. It is a very common household item. They come in many different styles and colours. This one is made of stainless steel, but it can be made of other materials. They are handy to have around because they keep things organized. What is it?

Photo #230 Revealed

It was a heat vent cover.

Speaking of vents, I would like to do some venting. I find it quite gross when people spit on the sidewalks, especially when they make that hacking sound...

Monday is a great day for venting. Anything you would like to get off your chest?

Special Post: Look what I got in the mail!

Clockwise from top left: Tazo tea bags, reusable spoon + fork, a very cool reusable plastic water bottle that folds flat, card and Godiva chocolates, Extra gum, Cupcake cookbook and some cute sticky notes

Earlier this month, I participated in the "Favourite Things Swap," hosted by Leanne @ Join the Gossip. The idea behind the swap was to meet new bloggers and as a bonus, receive some nice surprises in the mail!  We were to spend $20 before shipping on our partner, which was chosen by Leanne at random, and send her some of our favourite things!

My swap partner was Leesh from The Blarkness Chronicles. She is a fellow Canadian who blogs about food, fashion, beauty products and whatever else that intrigues her.

Leesh, if you are reading this: I love my package! Thank you all the gifts. I didn't expect to receive so many thingamajigs! I love all the green items! ;) You were thoughtful and considerate. I couldn't have asked for a better partner! Much love!

This my first time participating in a swap and I had a ton of fun! I love getting snail mail! Thank you Leanne, for hosting and organizing this swap!

Hi there! Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday so far! This week was also the start of a new tv season. Have you watched any new shows? Today's thingamajig comes in many flavours. It could be sweet or savoury. They are great anytime of the day, but it's a nice way to start off the day with it and a cup of hot tea. What is this tasty treat?

Photo #225 Revealed

They were solar panels.

Photo #224 Revealed

It was a hair crimper.
Crimped hair was especially popular during the late 80s and early 90s.
But with fashion trends these days, what was old is new again!

As an example, this is Christina Aguilera in 2011.

Photo from CeleBuzz!
What do you think of her look?

This is what the future could look like.
The second thingamajig of the day is something that I hope to see more of in the future. It's not a fad. In fact, I think that this will gain more popularity in the future and could be the answer to some of our problems. It may be expensive now to buy, but it is well worth the price in the long run. What do you think it is?

Photo of the day, #224

Hint: It's a type of appliance
Happy Two-sday! The first thingamajig needs to be plugged in for it to work. This isn't exactly a common household item. It's one of those things that you might consider a fad. This would have been popular twenty-thirty years ago. If you are a female, you may be at an advantage. What do you think this is?

Photo #223 Revealed

It was a backpack.
Aren't those the cutest backpacks you've ever seen?

It's Shemar Moore Shirtless!

Image from Google.
This sexy hunk of a man is Shemar Moore! Some of you ladies may have seen him on the daytime soap, "The Young and the Restless." He was the hottest guy on that show. If you want to see more of this sexy man, catch him on primetime tv on "Criminal Minds."

Enjoy!

Who is he?

This sexy hunk of a guy will be revealed in tomorrow's "Shirtless Sundays."

Photo #220 Revealed

It was beetroot.
Did you know that beetroot contains, betanin, a natural food dye? Wearing old clothes and gloves is a good idea when handling beets, as they can stain your clothes and hands red. Commercially, it is added to foods to improve the colour and taste of tomato paste, sauces, jellies and jam.

For some people, eating red beets (as they also come in yellow!), could cause their pee to become pink or a reddish colour temporarily. Does it ever happen to you?

Hint: You may want to wear gloves to handle it
Happy Friday! Hope your Friday is fun and frivolous! Today's thingamajig is usually cooked before using. And the best way to cook it, is to steam it. This is supposed to be good for you. It may be the secret to living a long and healthy life! What is it?

Hint: these are becoming obsolete
Hello there! Hope you are having a good day! I'm not in the best of moods today. It's that time of month for me, if you know what I mean. It's not always fun being a woman. Anyways, today's thingamajig is becoming obsolete because of the technology that is available today. They were quite popular in the 80s and 90s.  It's made of plastic and is portable. Japan and the United States are two major manufacturers. What is it?

Photo #217 Revealed

It was cauliflower.
It's true, cauliflower comes in orange, purple, green and of course, white! You can usually find them at the farmer's market.

It's another Two-sday! In case you weren't here last Tuesday, I've started posting 2 photos, instead of the usual one on Tuesdays. The first thingamajig is something that little kids shouldn't be playing with. They are small enough to be a choking hazard. Besides, it's not a toy.  It's a very common item that you can find in homes, offices and schools. What is it?

Hint: This is especially popular in France
Hi there! Hope you all had a great weekend! Did you do anything worth mentioning? Yesterday night, I made some double chocolate muffins with a graham cracker struesel topping. Words can't express how yummy it is! If only you can taste the deliciousness. Anyways,  today's thingamajig is a baked good made of flour and other ingredients. It could be savory or sweet. It is popular during breakfast. What is it?
